S0414.NAILSEACIDER.M   Magnificent magnum size Nailsea white enamel speckled handled cider bottle c1800/1820, blackglass (dark olive green) full original surface gloss, shallow kickup with large blowpipe pontil, rounded base edges, outward tapering sagged body sides to large rounded shoulders into short wide based tapering neck finished in applied double tooled stringrim and lip just showing around snapped off refired lip. Large scroll handle with large bold double pincered tail pad and large neck attachment pad. Good spread of white enamel inclusions, spots and tears mostly around shoulders and neck but also larger spots around lower body. Superb example in near mint condition. 11

S0308.1680MAG.M  Rare magnum c1680 transitional shaft and globe form freeblown blackglass (dark olive green) conical kickup with blowpipe pontil, marvered lower sides rounded bucket body, rounded sloping shoulders into medium wide based tapering neck through wide doubletooled saturn stringrim below everted snapped off firesmoothed lip. Overall light matte and light dug condition with some traces of original gloss. Excellent condition otherwise.   8 1/2

S0421SW.DWIGHTCORD.M    Extremely rare and desirable earliest English saltglaze stoneware Dwight manufacture of London, baluster bodied bottle c1700. Superb colouring Dark lightly metallic brown upper body over ochre /grey lower body. Near flat base on lightly outurning foot, into deep belly rounding and sloping into short widebased tapering neck finishing in multicordoned below lip and bold downtooled top lip. Some small patches of glaze loss/touchmarks, rubs off glaze around lip highlights etc, some drips of running colour and glaze, some super tight surface hairlines throughout...lovely crudity and rusticity, has been well used but is perfectly good, excellent colonial household addition. 8 5/8
